Must be a graduating senior from Spaulding High School
Must be planning to attend a trade school, technical program, or apprenticeship following graduation (examples include but are not limited to: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automotive, welding, culinary, nursing, cosmetology, carpentry, IT/cybersecurity, etc.)
Must demonstrate a genuine interest in hands-on learning and pursuing a skilled trade
Award Amount

Completed Application Form
Short Essay (300–500 words) Prompt: Paul Dumont lived by the words “Never say you can’t. Learn something new every day, help others when you can” What does that mean to you, and how do you hope to live out that motto through your career in the trades?
Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or employer who can speak to your character, work ethic, or passion for your chosen trade
Proof of Enrollment or Acceptance to a trade school, technical program, or apprenticeship (can be submitted after award selection, if not yet available)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated interest in a skilled trade
Alignment with Paul J. Dumont’s values: curiosity, perseverance, and service to others
Financial need may be considered but is not required
Strength of essay and recommendation
